shredded Gruyère or mozzarella cheese

black pepper

paprika
Instructions
Cook macaroni according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
Melt butter in a saucepan and stir in flour, cooking for 1 to 2 minutes.
Gradually whisk in milk and cream and cook until thickened.
Add cheeses and stir until melted and smooth.
Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Mix cooked pasta with cheese sauce until coated.
Transfer to a greased baking dish.
Bake at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes until bubbly and lightly golden.
Cool slightly and serve.
Notes
Use freshly shredded cheese for best texture.
Do not overcook pasta.
Stir sauce continuously to avoid lumps.
