The Best Quesadillas Seasoning

Bold homemade quesadilla seasoning made with smoky spices and garlic. Perfect for chicken, beef, or veggie quesadillas.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper optional

Instructions
 

  • In a small bowl, combine chili powder, ground cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper if using. Stir thoroughly until evenly blended. To use, sprinkle 1–2 tablespoons of seasoning over 1 pound of cooked chicken, beef, or vegetables. Add 2–3 tablespoons of water and simmer for 2–3 minutes until evenly coated. Use in quesadillas, tacos, or burrito bowls.

Notes

Start with less seasoning and adjust to taste to avoid oversalting. Store seasoning in an airtight container in a cool, dry pantry for up to 6 months. Shake before each use to redistribute spices evenly.
