Sweet Strawberry Shortcake Puppy Chow

Ingredients
- 6 cups Rice Chex cereal
- 1 ½ cups white chocolate chips
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- ½ cup strawberry cake mix dry
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- ¼ cup freeze-dried strawberries crushed (optional)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Add Rice Chex cereal to a large heat-safe bowl.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine white chocolate chips and butter.
- Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until melted and smooth.
- Stir vanilla extract into the melted chocolate.
- Pour chocolate mixture over cereal and gently fold until evenly coated.
- Add powdered sugar and strawberry cake mix to a large zip-top bag or container.
- Transfer coated cereal into the bag, seal, and shake gently until fully coated.
- Add crushed freeze-dried strawberries if using and shake lightly to distribute.
- Spread puppy chow onto parchment paper and allow to cool completely before serving.
Notes
Shake gently to avoid breaking cereal. Let cool fully before storing to prevent clumping.
