Strawberry Earthquake Cake

Strawberry earthquake cake with gooey cream cheese swirls and soft texture. Easy dessert recipe.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 box 15.25 oz strawberry cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Prepare cake mix using eggs, oil, and water according to package directions.
  • Pour batter into the prepared dish.
  • Sprinkle white chocolate chips evenly over the batter.
  • In a bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth.
  • Add melted butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract and mix until creamy.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the mixture over the batter.
  • Lightly swirl with a knife without fully mixing.
  • Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until edges are set and center is slightly gooey.
  • Cool before serving.

Notes

Do not overmix to keep the layered effect.
Do not overbake to maintain gooey texture.
Store in refrigerator for best freshness.
