Sausage Pinwheels

Sausage pinwheels with creamy filling and flaky dough. Easy savory appetizer recipe.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground sausage
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 sheet crescent roll dough or puff pastry
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Cook sausage in a skillet until browned and drain grease.
  • Mix sausage with cream cheese, garlic powder, and pepper.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Roll out dough and spread filling evenly.
  • Roll tightly into a log and slice into pieces.
  • Place on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
  • Serve warm.

Notes

Chill dough before slicing for clean cuts.
Do not overcrowd baking sheet.
Customize with additional ingredients if desired.
