Rhubarb Sticky Buns

Rhubarb Sticky Buns with soft fluffy dough and a sweet tangy rhubarb topping, perfect for a cozy treat.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup butter melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups rhubarb chopped
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions
 

  • Mix warm milk, yeast, and a little sugar and let sit for 5 minutes.
  • Add flour, remaining sugar, melted butter, egg, and salt and knead into dough.
  • Let dough rise for 1 hour until doubled.
  • Cook rhubarb, brown sugar, butter, and cornstarch until thickened.
  • Roll dough into a rectangle and spread filling evenly.
  • Sprinkle cinnamon on top.
  • Roll tightly and slice into portions.
  • Place in a greased baking dish and let rise again.
  • Bake at 350°F for 25–30 minutes until golden.
  • Cool slightly and serve warm.

Notes

Use cornstarch to thicken filling.
Do not overfill rolls.
Serve warm for best texture.
