Pepper Steak "Beef & Brandy" Hand Pies

Ingredients

ground beef or diced steak

sheets puff pastry

onion

bell peppers
sliced

garlic

beef broth

brandy

tablespoon
Worcestershire sauce

teaspoon
salt

teaspoon
black pepper

large egg
for egg wash
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cook beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned.
Add onion and bell peppers and cook until softened.
Stir in garlic and cook briefly.
Add beef broth, brandy, and Worcestershire sauce, then simmer until thickened.
Season with salt and black pepper and let filling cool slightly.
Roll out puff pastry and cut into squares or circles.
Place filling in the center, fold over, and seal edges with a fork.
Brush with beaten egg.
Bake for 18 to 22 minutes until golden brown.
Cool slightly and serve.
Notes
Let filling cool before assembling to avoid soggy pastry.
Do not overfill to keep pies sealed.
Chill assembled pies briefly for better structure.
