Ingredients

  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. In a large bowl, cream softened butter, peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract. Gradually add dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart. Bake for 9–11 minutes until edges are lightly golden and centers remain soft. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Do not overbake; cookies will continue to set as they cool. Use room-temperature butter for easier mixing. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
