Muffin Tin Meat Pies

Muffin tin meat pies with flaky crust and savory beef filling. Easy comfort food recipe.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 refrigerated pie crusts
  • ½ cup onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large egg for egg wash

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a muffin tin.
  • Cook ground beef in a skillet until browned, then add onion and cook until softened.
  • Add garlic and cook briefly.
  • Stir in mixed vegetables, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce and simmer until slightly thickened.
  • Season with salt and black pepper and let filling cool.
  • Cut pie crust into circles and press into muffin cups.
  • Fill each with meat mixture.
  • Add top crust pieces and seal edges.
  • Brush with beaten egg.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
  • Cool slightly and serve.

Notes

Let filling cool before assembling to prevent soggy crust.
Do not overfill pies.
Use puff pastry for a richer variation if desired.
