Mounds Brownies

Mounds brownies with rich chocolate base, sweet coconut filling, and smooth chocolate topping. Easy layered dessert

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • cup cocoa powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 ½ cups chocolate chips
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 9x9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until smooth.
  • Add eggs and vanilla extract, then mix until combined.
  • Stir in flour, cocoa powder, and salt to form brownie batter.
  • Spread batter evenly in the pan and bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Let brownies cool slightly.
  • In a bowl, mix shredded coconut with sweetened condensed milk.
  • Spread coconut mixture evenly over brownies.
  • Melt chocolate chips with heavy cream until smooth.
  • Pour chocolate over the coconut layer and spread evenly.
  • Refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours until set.
  • Slice and serve.

Notes

Let brownies cool before adding coconut layer.
Chill before slicing for clean layers.
Use dark chocolate for a richer topping if desired.
