all-purpose flour

baking powder

milk

large egg

vegetable oil
for frying
Instructions
Cut hot dogs into bite-sized pieces.
In a bowl, mix cornmeal, flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk milk and egg together.
Combine wet and dry ingredients to form a thick batter.
Heat oil in a pan to 350°F.
Dip each hot dog piece into the batter and coat evenly.
Fry in hot oil for 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown.
Remove and drain on paper towels.
Cool slightly and serve.
Notes
Keep oil temperature steady for even frying.
Use thick batter to help coating stick.
Serve with dipping sauces for extra flavor.
