Meatball and mashed potato bake layered with tomato sauce and melted cheese, baked until warm and comforting.

Ingredients

cooked Italian meatballs

mashed potatoes

cups
marinara or tomato sauce
2
cups
shredded mozzarella cheese
2
tablespoons
chopped fresh parsley

teaspoon
salt
½
teaspoon
black pepper

tablespoon
olive oil
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Grease a baking dish with olive oil.
Spread mashed potatoes evenly across the bottom of the dish.
Arrange cooked meatballs over the mashed potatoes.
Pour marinara sauce evenly over the meatballs.
Cover loosely with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
Remove foil and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
Bake uncovered for 20 to 25 minutes until cheese melts and turns lightly golden.
Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Garnish with chopped parsley.
Notes
Use warm mashed potatoes for easier spreading. Fully cook frozen meatballs before assembling.
