Juicy Pineapple Heaven Cake

Ingredients
  

  • 1 box 15.25 oz yellow cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 20 oz can crushed pineapple (with juice)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 8 oz whipped topping
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Prepare cake mix using eggs, oil, and water according to package directions.
  • Pour batter into dish and bake for 25 to 30 minutes until done.
  • While cake is warm, poke holes across the surface using a fork.
  • In a saucepan, combine crushed pineapple with juice and granulated sugar. Bring to a gentle boil and simmer for a few minutes.
  • Pour pineapple mixture evenly over the warm cake and let it soak.
  • Allow cake to cool completely.
  • In a bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth, then add powdered sugar and mix well.
  • Fold in whipped topping and vanilla extract until combined.
  • Spread topping over cooled cake and refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Pour pineapple mixture while cake is warm for best absorption.
Refrigerate before serving for best texture.
Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
