Honeycomb Bread Stuffed with Cheese

Honeycomb Bread Stuffed with Cheese with soft fluffy dough and gooey melted cheese, perfect for sharing.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil or butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 ½ cups mozzarella cheese cubed
  • 1 egg + 1 tablespoon milk for egg wash

Instructions
 

  • Mix warm milk, yeast, and sugar and let sit for 5 minutes.
  • Add flour, salt, egg, and oil and knead into a smooth dough.
  • Cover and let rise for 1 hour until doubled.
  • Divide dough into small portions.
  • Flatten each piece and add cheese in the center.
  • Seal and roll into balls.
  • Arrange in a greased baking dish close together.
  • Let rise again for 20–30 minutes.
  • Brush with egg wash.
  • Bake at 375°F for 20–25 minutes until golden.
  • Cool slightly and serve warm.

Notes

Seal dough well to prevent cheese leakage.
Use mozzarella for best melting.
Serve warm for best texture.
