Sweet and savory Hawaiian cheese ball made with crushed pineapple, cream cheese, and nuts.
Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 1 hour

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup crushed pineapple well drained
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup green onions chopped
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Instructions

  • In a large bowl combine cream cheese and shredded cheddar. Add crushed pineapple, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined. Shape mixture into a ball. Spread chopped nuts on a plate and roll the cheese ball until coated. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving. Remove from refrigerator about 10 minutes before serving and serve with crackers.

Notes

Drain pineapple thoroughly to prevent a watery mixture. The cheese ball tastes best after chilling for at least one hour.
