Ham Piirakka

Ham piirakka with creamy filling, eggs, and cheese in a flaky crust. Easy savory pie recipe.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pie crust
  • 1 ½ cups cooked ham diced
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream or half-and-half
  • ½ cup onion chopped
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss or cheddar cheese
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Cook onion in a skillet until softened.
  • In a bowl, whisk eggs and cream until smooth.
  • Stir in ham, onion, cheese, salt, and pepper.
  • Place pie crust in a dish and pour in filling.
  • Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until set and lightly golden.
  • Cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

Do not overbake to keep filling creamy.
Let pie rest before slicing.
Customize with additional ingredients if desired.
