Grilled Salsa Verde Pepper Jack Chicken

Grilled salsa verde pepper jack chicken with juicy flavor, tangy sauce, and melted cheese. Easy dinner recipe.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup salsa verde
  • 4 slices pepper jack cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro chopped

Instructions
 

  • Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  • Brush chicken with olive oil and season with spices.
  • Grill chicken for 5 to 6 minutes per side until cooked through.
  • Top with salsa verde and cheese during last minute.
  • Let cheese melt, then remove from grill.
  • Rest for a few minutes and garnish with cilantro.
  • Serve warm.

Notes

Do not overcook chicken.
Use even thickness for best results.
Customize toppings if desired.
