Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 green bell pepper diced
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 1 cup mushrooms sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • 6 hamburger buns
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces.
  • Remove excess grease if needed.
  • Add diced onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms, cooking until softened.
  • Stir in minced garlic and cook briefly until fragrant.
  • In a bowl, mix beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and cornstarch.
  • Pour mixture into the skillet and stir well.
  • Simmer until the sauce thickens and coats the beef.
  • Place provolone cheese slices over the mixture and let melt.
  • Stir gently to combine.
  • Spoon onto hamburger buns and serve warm.

Notes

Use 80/20 ground beef for best flavor and juiciness.
Toast buns for added texture.
Add jalapeños for extra heat if desired.
Store filling separately to keep buns from becoming soggy.
