sea scallops

unsalted butter

tablespoon
olive oil

cloves
garlic
minced

tablespoon
lemon juice
½
teaspoon
salt

teaspoon
black pepper

tablespoon
fresh parsley
chopped
Instructions
Pat scallops dry with paper towels and season with salt and black pepper.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Place scallops in the pan and cook for 2 to 3 minutes without moving until golden.
Flip scallops and cook for another 1 to 2 minutes.
Remove scallops from the pan and set aside.
Add butter and garlic to the same pan and cook briefly until fragrant.
Stir in lemon juice.
Return scallops to the pan and spoon sauce over them.
Sprinkle with parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
Dry scallops well to achieve a good sear.
Do not overcrowd the pan.
Serve immediately for best texture.
