How To Make Pasta With Asparagus

Garlic Asparagus Pasta

Easy garlic asparagus pasta with lemon and Parmesan cheese.

Ingredients
  

  • 12 ounces pasta
  • 1 bunch fresh asparagus trimmed and cut
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions
 

  • Cook pasta in salted water. Add asparagus during last minutes. Drain. Sauté garlic in olive oil. Toss pasta and asparagus with lemon, seasoning, and pasta water. Stir in Parmesan and serve.

Notes

Reserve pasta water to loosen sauce as needed.
