Garden Salad

Garden Salad with crisp vegetables and a light homemade dressing, perfect for a fresh and easy meal.
Prep Time 10 minutes

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups romaine lettuce chopped
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1 cup cucumber sliced
  • ¼ cup red onion thinly sliced
  • ½ cup carrots shredded
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice or vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Wash and dry all vegetables thoroughly.
  • Chop lettuce into bite-sized pieces.
  • Slice cucumbers and halve cherry tomatoes.
  • Thinly slice onion and shred carrots.
  • Add all vegetables to a large bowl.
  • Mix olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  • Pour dressing over salad.
  • Toss gently until evenly coated.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

Keep dressing separate if making ahead.
Use fresh ingredients for best flavor.
Do not overdress the salad.
