French Onion Beef Casserole

Savory French onion beef casserole baked with noodles and melted cheese.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 12 ounces egg noodles
  • 1 can condensed French onion soup 10.5 oz
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 medium yellow onion sliced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

  • Cook noodles and drain. Brown beef in skillet and drain fat. Add butter and onions. Cook until soft. Stir in seasoning, soup, and sour cream. Mix in noodles. Transfer to baking dish. Top with cheese. Bake at 350°F for 25–30 minutes. Rest before serving.

Notes

Cover loosely if cheese browns early. Rest before slicing.
