Easy Meatloaf Glaze

Sweet and tangy meatloaf glaze made with ketchup, brown sugar, and vinegar. Perfect topping for homemade meatloaf.
Prep Time 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, and garlic powder until smooth. Bake your meatloaf as directed. After 30–40 minutes of baking, remove meatloaf from oven and spread glaze evenly over the top. Return to oven and bake an additional 15–20 minutes until glaze bubbles and slightly caramelizes. Let meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Apply glaze during the final stage of baking to prevent burning. Adjust sweetness by increasing or reducing brown sugar slightly. Store leftover glaze in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
