Creamy Gnocchi Bolognese

Creamy gnocchi Bolognese with ground beef, tomato sauce, cream, and Parmesan cheese.

Ingredients
  

  • 16 ounces potato gnocchi
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 carrot finely diced
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped basil or parsley optional

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook onion and carrot until softened. Add garlic and cook briefly. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Stir in tomato paste and cook for 1–2 minutes. Add crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 20–25 minutes. Cook gnocchi according to package instructions and drain. Add gnocchi to the sauce along with cream and Parmesan. Stir until combined and heated through. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve.

Notes

Use store-bought gnocchi for convenience. The sauce can be made ahead and frozen.
