Classic Philly Cheesesteak Meatloaf

Classic Philly cheesesteak meatloaf with cheese, peppers, and onions. Easy comfort dinner recipe.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup onion chopped
  • ½ cup green bell pepper chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 –8 slices provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup sautéed onions
  • ½ cup sautéed bell peppers

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, chopped onion, bell pepper, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  • Spread half the mixture into a loaf shape.
  • Layer cheese, sautéed onions, and peppers.
  • Top with remaining meat mixture and seal edges.
  • Bake for 50 to 60 minutes until fully cooked.
  • Let rest before slicing and serving.

Notes

Do not overmix meat.
Let rest before slicing.
Customize with different cheeses if desired.
