Chicken Kofta with Garlic Yogurt Sauce

Chicken Kofta with Garlic Yogurt Sauce made with juicy ground chicken, spices, and a creamy garlic yogurt dip.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ cup finely chopped onion
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, combine ground chicken, garlic, onion, parsley, olive oil, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix gently until combined.
  • Shape mixture into small logs or oval kofta pieces.
  • Heat a skillet or grill over medium heat.
  • Cook kofta for 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally until fully cooked and browned.
  • In another bowl, mix yogurt, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, and salt to make the sauce.
  • Remove kofta from heat and let rest for a few minutes.
  • Serve warm with garlic yogurt sauce on the side or drizzled on top.

Notes

Do not overmix the meat to keep it tender.
Finely chop onion to help kofta hold together.
Chill mixture before cooking if needed for better shaping.
