softened

brown sugar

granulated sugar

vanilla extract

baking soda

sweetened shredded coconut
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Mix in vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix just until combined.
Fold in shredded coconut until evenly distributed.
Scoop dough onto baking sheets, spacing cookies 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden and centers are soft.
Cool on baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
Do not overbake. Cookies will continue to set as they cool and stay chewy inside.
