Cheesy Marinara Chicken Bake

Ingredients
  

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts about 1.5 lbs
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh basil

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F and lightly grease a baking dish.
  • Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  • Place chicken in the baking dish in a single layer.
  • Pour marinara sauce evenly over the chicken.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  • Bake for 30–35 minutes until chicken is fully cooked and cheese is melted.
  • Broil for 2–3 minutes if desired for a golden top.
  • Remove from oven and let rest for a few minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh basil and serve warm.

Use evenly sized chicken pieces for consistent cooking.
Avoid overbaking to keep chicken juicy.
Use quality marinara sauce for best flavor.
