Cheeseburger Pockets

Cheeseburger pockets made with seasoned ground beef, melty cheese, and baked dough for an easy handheld dinner.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough or crescent roll dough 8 pieces
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ¼ cup onion finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or American cheese
  • 1 large egg for egg wash
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cook ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease.
  • Season beef with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Stir in ketchup and mustard and remove from heat. Let cool slightly.
  • Separate dough and flatten each piece into a circle.
  • Spoon beef mixture onto one half of each dough circle and sprinkle with cheese.
  • Fold dough over filling and pinch edges tightly to seal.
  • Place pockets seam-side down on baking sheet.
  • Whisk egg and brush over tops. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if using.
  • Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown.
  • Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Let the filling cool before assembling to prevent leaks. Reheat leftovers in the oven or air fryer for best results.
