Cheese Manakish

Cheese Manakish with soft fluffy dough and melted cheese, a classic Lebanese flatbread perfect for any time of day.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup crumbled feta cheese

Instructions
 

  • Mix warm water, yeast, and sugar and let sit for 5 minutes.
  • Add flour, salt, and olive oil and knead into a smooth dough.
  • Cover and let rise for 1 hour until doubled.
  • Divide dough into portions and roll into flat rounds.
  • Place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Sprinkle cheese evenly on top.
  • Bake at 450°F for 10–12 minutes until golden.
  • Serve warm.

Notes

Use high heat for best texture.
Combine cheeses for balanced flavor.
