Cajun Boiled Eggs

Hard-boiled eggs coated in spicy Cajun garlic butter sauce. Quick, bold, and perfect as a snack or appetizer.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 large eggs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped (optional garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Place eggs in a pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 9–10 minutes. Transfer eggs to an ice bath, cool, peel, and set aside. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, chili powder, red pepper flakes, brown sugar, and salt. Cook for 1–2 minutes to bloom spices. Add lemon juice and stir. Place peeled eggs in the skillet and gently roll to coat evenly in sauce. Simmer for 2–3 minutes, spooning sauce over eggs. Remove from heat, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

Avoid overcooking eggs to prevent dry yolks. Cook garlic gently to avoid burning. Adjust spice level to preference. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat gently before serving.
