Baked Jumbo Shells Stuffed With Cheesy Taco Meat

Taco stuffed shells with cheesy beef filling, pasta shells, and bold flavor. Easy comfort dinner recipe.

Ingredients
  

  • 20 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning or 2 tablespoons
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
  • 1 cup salsa
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Cook pasta shells until al dente and drain.
  • Cook ground beef in a skillet until browned.
  • Add onion and cook until softened, then add garlic.
  • Stir in taco seasoning and a little water and simmer until thickened.
  • Add cream cheese and mix until smooth.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a baking dish.
  • Stuff shells with beef mixture and place in dish.
  • Pour salsa over shells and sprinkle with cheese.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until bubbly.
  • Top with sour cream and serve.

Notes

Cook shells carefully to avoid tearing.
Do not overfill shells.
Customize with toppings if desired.
