Baked Cod with Lemon and Garlic

Baked cod with lemon and garlic, light and flavorful fish recipe perfect for a healthy dinner.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cod fillets about 6 oz each
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 large lemon sliced
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F and lightly grease a baking dish.
  • Pat cod fillets dry with paper towels and place in the dish.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the fish.
  • Sprinkle garlic, salt, black pepper, and paprika evenly over the fillets.
  • Pour lemon juice over the fish and place lemon slices on top.
  • Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  • Remove from oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

Do not overcook to keep fish tender and moist.
Use fresh lemon juice for best flavor.
Thaw frozen cod completely before cooking.
