Baked Cod with Lemon and Garlic
Baked cod with lemon and garlic made with olive oil, fresh lemon, and simple seasoning. A light, healthy fish recipe.

Ingredients

cod fillets

olive oil

garlic

large lemon
sliced and juiced

teaspoon
salt

teaspoon
black pepper
½
teaspoon
paprika

tablespoons
fresh parsley
chopped (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F and lightly grease a baking dish or line with parchment paper.
Place cod fillets in a single layer in the baking dish and pat dry.
Drizzle olive oil evenly over the cod.
Sprinkle garlic, salt, black pepper, and paprika over the fillets.
Arrange lemon slices on and around the fish.
Bake uncovered for 12–15 minutes until cod is opaque and flakes easily.
Remove from oven and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top.
Garnish with parsley if desired and serve immediately.
Notes
Use thick fillets for best texture. Avoid overbaking to keep the cod moist and flaky.
