Apple Cider Donut Bread

Apple Cider Donut Bread with real cider flavor, cinnamon sugar topping, and soft crumb for fall baking.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups apple cider
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Simmer apple cider until reduced to 1/2 cup. Let cool. Preheat oven to 350°F. Whisk dry ingredients together. Cream butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla. Stir in reduced cider. Fold in dry ingredients. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake 45–50 minutes until set. Cool slightly, then coat with cinnamon sugar if desired.

Notes

Do not skip cider reduction. It creates strong apple flavor.
