Air Fryer Egg Toast

Crispy air fryer egg toast made with thick bread and perfectly baked egg. Quick breakfast ready in minutes.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 thick slices bread sourdough or whole grain
  • 1 teaspoon butter or olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup shredded cheese optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat air fryer to 350°F for 2–3 minutes. Lightly spread butter or brush olive oil on one side of each bread slice. Press the center of each slice gently with the back of a spoon to create a shallow well. Place bread in the air fryer basket. Crack one egg into the center of each slice. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook at 350°F for 6–8 minutes depending on desired yolk doneness. If using cheese, sprinkle on top during the last 1–2 minutes of cooking. Remove carefully and serve immediately.

Notes

Use thick, sturdy bread to hold the egg. Avoid overcooking if you prefer a runny yolk. Best served fresh for optimal crispiness.
