Air Fryer Beef Jerky

Air fryer beef jerky made with lean beef, a savory marinade, and low heat for perfectly chewy homemade jerky.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ pounds lean beef top round, flank steak, or sirloin
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional

Instructions
 

  • Slice beef thinly (1/8–1/4 inch thick) against the grain.
  • In a bowl, whisk soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  • Add beef to the marinade and mix until fully coated.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  • Remove beef from marinade and pat dry with paper towels.
  • Preheat air fryer to 160–180°F or the lowest setting available.
  • Arrange beef strips in a single layer without overlapping.
  • Air fry for 2–3 hours, flipping every 30–40 minutes.
  • Remove jerky when dry but flexible.
  • Cool completely before storing.

Notes

Slice beef evenly for consistent drying. Jerky firms up slightly as it cools.
