Air fryer beef jerky made with lean beef, a savory marinade, and low heat for perfectly chewy homemade jerky.

Ingredients

lean beef
top round, flank steak, or sirloin

soy sauce

Worcestershire sauce

tablespoons
brown sugar

teaspoon
garlic powder
1
teaspoon
onion powder
1
teaspoon
smoked paprika
½
teaspoon
black pepper
½
teaspoon
red pepper flakes

Instructions
Slice beef thinly (1/8–1/4 inch thick) against the grain.
In a bowl, whisk soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
Add beef to the marinade and mix until fully coated.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Remove beef from marinade and pat dry with paper towels.
Preheat air fryer to 160–180°F or the lowest setting available.
Arrange beef strips in a single layer without overlapping.
Air fry for 2–3 hours, flipping every 30–40 minutes.
Remove jerky when dry but flexible.
Cool completely before storing.
Notes
Slice beef evenly for consistent drying. Jerky firms up slightly as it cools.
