Large pot (for boiling pasta)
Pan or skillet (for making the sauce)
Mixing bowl (for yogurt sauce)
Wooden spoon (for stirring)
Garlic press (optional, for mincing garlic)
Tongs or pasta spoon (for mixing pasta and sauce)
For the Pasta:
- 250 g pasta eriste, penne, or spaghetti
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes Pul Biber
- Salt & pepper to taste
- ½ cup reserved pasta water
For the Yogurt Sauce:
- 1 cup Greek or Turkish yogurt
- 1 clove garlic minced
- Pinch of salt
For Garnishing:
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- Extra red pepper flakes
- Fresh parsley or mint chopped
Cook the Pasta:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Cook pasta until al dente, then drain, reserving ½ cup pasta water.
Prepare the Sauce:
Heat butter and olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
Stir in tomato paste and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Add a splash of pasta water to loosen the sauce.
Toss in cooked pasta, mixing well to coat evenly.
Garnish & Serve:
Serve pasta with a dollop of garlic yogurt on top.
Drizzle melted butter mixed with red pepper flakes.
Sprinkle with fresh parsley or mint for extra flavor.
