There’s something so charming about a tiny treat that instantly feels festive, and these Mini Santa Oreos do exactly that. They’re fun, quick, and adorable the kind of sweet that brings instant smiles without any stress. Perfect for kids, cookie platters, or last-minute holiday magic.

Ingredients
- Golden Oreo cookies
- 1 cup Wilton bright white candy melts
- 1 cup Wilton red candy melts
- White decorator frosting
- Mini marshmallows
- Red M&M’s
- Black decorating gel
Optional swaps:
- Use regular Oreos if you prefer chocolate.
- Swap M&M’s for red Sixlets.
Steps
- Melt the candy melts
Place the red and white candy melts in separate microwave-safe bowls. Heat in 30-second bursts, stirring each time until smooth. Don’t rush it slow melting keeps them silky. - Create Santa’s hat
Dip half of each Golden Oreo into the red candy melt. Let the excess drip off and set the cookies on parchment paper. Allow them to firm up about 10 minutes. - Add the white fur trim
Spoon a bit of the melted white candy over the line where the red ends, or use a piping bag if you want it extra neat. It should look like the soft brim of Santa’s hat. - Add the pom-pom
Press a mini marshmallow to the top corner of the red section. It sticks easily while the red coating is still slightly warm. - Make the face
Use white decorator frosting to add a little “beard” area on the lower half of the Oreo. Don’t worry if it’s not perfect — the charm is in the cuteness. - Add Santa’s nose
Gently press a red M&M into the middle of the beard. It will look bright and cheerful. - Give him eyes
Dot on two tiny eyes with black decorating gel. A little goes a long way here.
Chef’s Tips
- If your melts feel too thick, add ½ teaspoon of coconut oil to loosen the texture.
- Let the Oreos chill in the fridge for 5–7 minutes for clean, crisp detailing.
- Store Santa Oreos in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days any longer and the marshmallows can harden.
Variations
- Peppermint Santa: Add crushed peppermint to the white trim for a minty sparkle.
- Double-White Santa: Use white candy melts for the face instead of frosting for a smoother finish.
- Kid-Craft Version: Skip the piping bags and let kids decorate with mini candy eyes and sprinkles.
