Chocolate sticks to bowls and utensils like glue unless you use this quick soaking trick.

The Trick
Fill the messy bowl with very hot, soapy water and let it soak for a few minutes. The heat softens the chocolate, and the soap breaks it down so it rinses right off.
How to Use It (Step-by-Step)
- Don’t scrape or scrub yet
Just set the chocolatey bowl or spatula in the sink. - Fill with hot water
Run the tap as hot as it safely goes.
Add a squirt of dish soap. - Let it soak
3–5 minutes is usually enough.
(For thicker melted chocolate, wait 10 minutes.) - Wipe or rinse
After soaking, the chocolate should slide off with a sponge or even just warm running water. - Wash normally
Finish with your usual wash and rinse.
Bonus Tip
If chocolate has hardened on utensils, gather them all in a bowl of hot, soapy water at once they’ll clean up in seconds.
