Using only one teaspoon of oil, how to “boil” potatoes in an air fryer
You can get potatoes that are boiled-soft with this trick without really boiling anything.
In less than 20 minutes, you can enjoy the tenderness of boiled potatoes and the enhanced flavor of gently browned edges.
The Reason Behind This
Oil turns brown.
Water boils.
Both are caught by foil traps.
As a result, your potatoes are both boiled and baked simultaneously.
How to accomplish it in a step-by-step
1. Prepare the potatoes
Slice potatoes into 1-2 inch chunks.
Or leave the little potatoes intact.
2. Add seasoning
Toss with:
1 teaspoon of oil a pinch of salt
(Pepper, garlic powder, and herbs are all optional. )
3. Create your steam pouch
Rip off a piece of aluminum foil
Put the potatoes in the middle.
Water should be added in one tablespoon.
Wrap the foil in a loose package.
Not tight—allow some room for steam to accumulate.
Consider “potato tent”.
4. Air-fry
Temperature: 375°F (190°C)
Duration: 15–18 minutes
5. Confirm and conclude
Gently open the foil (steam! )
Potatoes should be as soft as cooked when eaten with a fork.
The edges can be gently browned, which adds even more taste.
