All the comforting tastes of a campfire are packed into these cute little S’mores Roll-Ups, making them a simple and charming snack. They have the perfect amount of chocolatey flavor, are soft, chewy, and evoke a sense of nostalgia and warmth in the nicest manner possible.
Components
four little tortillas made of flour
a quarter cup of tiny marshmallows
a quarter cup of chocolate chips
2 tablespoons of graham crackers that have been pulverized
1 tbsp butter (for the pan)
1 teaspoon of sugar, if desired
Cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
Voluntary swaps:
For additional melt, try using little chocolate bars instead of chips.
For a softer roll, use little flatbreads instead of flour tortillas.
Actions
1.Lay out the tortillas and top each with marshmallows, chocolate chips, and graham cracker crumbs. Maintain the filling in the middle to prevent leakage.
2Fold each tortilla firmly, tucking in the borders as you go. If a marshmallow happens to peek out, don’t worry; it will melt nicely.
3.Over medium heat, melt butter in a small skillet until the borders begin to sizzle softly.
4.Cook the roll-ups for one to two minutes on each side, seam-side down, until they are golden and somewhat crisp.
5.If using, combine the cinnamon with the sugar, and sprinkle it thinly over the warm roll-ups.
6.Give them a minute to relax so the filling can settle into that ideal gooey center.
7.If you like the warm stretch of marshmallow, serve it whole or slice it into little bite-sized pieces.
Advice from the Chef
Roll them up tightly to aid in the uniform melting of the filling and prevent it from spilling out.
Reduce the heat if the marshmallows are browning too quickly; a slower melt will produce a creamier, softer center.
To restore the gooey goodness, leftover food can be warmed up in the pan for 30 seconds.
Changes
Peanut Butter S’mores: Apply a thin layer of peanut butter prior to adding the other components.
Dark Chocolate Dream: For a deeper taste, use dark chocolate pieces.
Butter cookie Twist: For a caramelized warmth, add a little dab of cookie butter.
